This work won the Excellence Award at the International Orchestral Composition Competition "Art Creation Awards" in Hangzhou, China.

This work presents a musical discourse built on the basis of a succession of colors, atmospheres and orchestral textures. The main compositional strategy is the construction of sound masses by means of dense overlays of multiple modal melodies carefully composed individually. The purpose is to highlight the multitudinal quality of an orchestra, where each instrument has its own voice, but where everyone can move together creating general strokes larger than any individual, like a flock of birds creating shapes in the sky.

Through the use of color and texture as the main components of musical discourse, this piece proposes a vision of sounds as vehicles for the contemplation of the dark side of the human condition. Inspired by the poem Nocturno Eterno by Xavier Villaurrutia, this work reflects on elusive ideas that do not need to have a name or be something specific, it is enough that they are "shadows of words that come out of the night."

This work seeks to reflect and recreate in the listener a fantasy of travel through space. In particular, it takes us to one of the most fascinating places in the galaxy: the Orion Nebula, also known by its catalog number Messier 42, or simply M42. The colors, shapes, lights and the incomprehensible size of this celestial sculpture were the elements that inspired this composition.
